Chief Charles Memorial School is based in Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation, Birch River, Manitoba. The land-based education with youth has been led by a wise teacher named Brenda Gaudry. Her school has been a model to many other communities- and kids cannot wait to go to school. Their projects have ranged from Maple syrup making to creating raised beds and tower gardens, planting fruit trees, and harvesting and processing traditional foods.
