Fresh Vegetables in Hatchet Lake Denesuline First Nation

Hatchet Lake Denesuline Nation, located in northern Saskatchewan, is a remote community working to strengthen its local food system through community-led gardening initiatives. Supported by the Hatchet Lake Health Centre and community health representatives, participating families play an active role in growing and sharing locally produced fruits and vegetables. The project builds on local knowledge and collaboration to improve food access and community well-being.
